Hunslet Hawks will appear on a national stage for the first time in 11 years tonight, when they take on Workington Town.
Co-op Championship One leaders Hunslet Hawks are set to make a rare appearance in front of live TV cameras. Hawks’ home game against Workington Town has been brought forward to Thursday, August 5 (7.30pm) for Sky. Paul March’s Hunslet have slashed ticket prices in a bid to secure a near full-house and chairman Steve Ball said: “It is the first time one of our league games has been on Sky.

It is the Sky TV cameras' debut at South Leeds Stadium and the first time Hawks have featured in a televised game since the 1999 Northern Ford Premiership Grand Final.
Just as importantly, the match offers Hawks an opportunity to virtually wrap-up the Co-op Championship One title. With three games to go, player-coach Paul March's side are three points clear of second-placed Oldham, with a far superior for and against.
March is aware of what a good performance and the right result could mean to the club, on and off the field.
Scott Woodcock, Adam Sullivan, Steve Dooler and Wayne McHugh could all return after injury.
Louis Stead and George Rayner drop out from the side which beat Gateshead two weeks ago.
